Best party food, Paneer Tikka 🧀🫕

Paneer tikka is a delicious Indian vegetarian dish made with marinated paneer cubes that are grilled or baked in an oven. It is a popular appetizer or snack that is often served with mint chutney. Here's a simple recipe for making paneer tikka at home:

Ingredients:

  • 400g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1cup thick curd (yogurt)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Lemon juice, to taste
  • Skewers

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the curd, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi, oil, and salt.

  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  4. Thread the paneer cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each cube.

  5. Place the skewers on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the paneer is golden brown and slightly charred.

  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle lemon juice over the paneer tikka.

  7. Serve hot with mint chutney and enjoy!

Note: If you don't have an oven, you can grill the paneer tikka on a barbecue or in a grill pan on the stove.
