How to make delicious white sauce pasta or Alfredo Pasta 😋
White sauce pasta, also known as Alfredo pasta, is a creamy and indulgent dish that is easy to prepare. Here's a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
1) 1 pound pasta (fettuccine or any other pasta of your choice)
2) 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3) 4 cloves garlic, minced
4) 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
5) 2 cups milk
6) 1/2 cup heavy cream
7) 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8) Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1) Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
2) In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
3) Add the flour to the pan and whisk constantly for about 1 minute to make a roux. Gradually pour in the milk and cream, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
4) Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
5) Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese is melted and incorporated into the sauce.
6) Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
7) Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until the pasta is coated evenly with the sauce.
8) Serve the pasta hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley or basil, if desired.
